Duinrell Theme park is where we stayed on our holiday in Holland. I decided to
add this page about the Tikibad in Duinrell, which I know is not related to the
TDCi in anyway but is well worthy of a mention, and a visit if you want
something different. Tikibad is a tropical pool with numerous water slides, some
are very fast and not for the faint hearted. Here's a brief description of the
water slides.
Tikipool Attractions
Moonlight
und Starfright: Dark and
scary!
length: approx 150 metres per lane
height: approx 16 metres per lane
speed: approx 20 km per hour
Two new slides built in 2000. Inside these darkened slides, which are the first
such slides in Europe, you will find lighting effects, exciting waterfalls and a
built in film projector.
Blits and Flits:
Megafast!
length: approx. 80 metres per lane
height: approx. 14 metres per lane
Speed: approx. 60 km per hour
Two mega fast slides.
Crazy Ride and Superslide:
Wow!
length: approx. 110 metres per lane
height: approx. 14 metres per lane
speed: approx. 20 km per hour
Space Bowls:
Spin in a chute
length: approx.150 metres per lane
height: approx 15 metres per lane
Speed: approx. 30 km per hour
Two gigantic chutes, called Cyclone and Tornado. The first in Europe to be
fitted with the so-called ‘high entry’ system. From a slide, which begins in a
15 metre high tower, you slide down at great speed, spin around in one of the
chutes and then plunge into a splash pool. The so-called ‘Catwalk’ is meant for
visitors who prefer to check out the action first!
Pelican Dive:
Free Fall

A very short, steep slide.
The Lazy River:
Floating fun!
length: approx. 250 metres
Width: approx. 2,5 metres
speed: not applicable
The Lazy River is still the first of its kind, in that; it is the first indoor
Lazy River in the world. All the attractions in the Tiki Pool are covered so
that the pool can be used all year round. The Lazy River is fitted with exciting
lighting effects, differing currents, a waterfall, water jet bubbles, and a mist
cloud and a whole lot more.
Swimming pools!
The three main pools, a wave pool, a swirl pool with
bubble jets, a part indoor and part outdoor pool with bubble jets. Also for a
non swim pool is the Jacuzzi pool
